Professional Coaching
You spend all day investing in your students – But who’s investing in you?
I’ve seen too many talented young educators walk away from the profession in frustration — not because they lacked passion or ability, but because they felt like they had no one to turn to.
You don’t have to do this alone. I’m here to help.
Sometimes all we need is an outside voice to offer perspective, challenge our assumptions, or help us build a plan — for ourselves and for our ensembles.
If that resonates, professional coaching might be your next step.
Clarity leads to confidence; Confidence leads to influence.
Professional coaching is a private lesson for your career, tailored to your individual goals and needs.
Coaching could include:
Score study & rehearsal strategy
Booster Club communication & systems
Time management solutions
Navigating conflict with clarity and professionalism
Strategic long-term planning (program & personal)
Rehearsal / Performance footage review & feedback
Programming advice and literature mapping

FAQs
-
Because I’m a full-time Texas high school band director, I keep my coaching cohort intentionally small. This ensures every client gets meaningful attention, not leftover bandwidth.
-
Only if you want them to.
Many early-career educators feel like “I’m supposed to know this already,” which can make asking for help feel vulnerable – I get it.
Client privacy matters, and while I may share anonymized success stories during workshops, I never reveal names or personal details without permission.
-
It depends on your goals. We’ll build a structure that works for you. Most clients meet with me online a couple of times a month, with additional check-ins digitally as needed. Some need a semester of clarity; others stick around for ongoing mentorship. There’s no one-size-fits-all.
